Life Is Good... That said, I was heartbroken to learn that the funniest, most brilliant actor/comedian of our time, succumbed to the other silent killer of our time. Many wonder what could ever possess someone with the wealth and fame that Robin Williams likely had, to end his own life. After many years in ministry, I have learned that just like all the money in the world, can't make cancer go away, depression is as real as a cancerous tumor... I guess because people can't "see" it, it must not be real...
Please make sure you really care for the people in your life.....
Yesterday we traveled on our bicycles to North Carolina. We enjoyed appetizers at a lovely restaurant/bar. And went back to the boat for an early night. Unfortunately, Shelley finds herself with a bad ear infection. We started her on antibiotic drops yesterday and amoxicillin today. We hope she is better in a few days...
Today our friend Carol picked us up at the marina and took us shopping and for a visit at their condo. I have to say that dirt dwellers have lots of stuff.... And air conditioning is pretty neat....
Lastly, we miss our kids like crazy, but we really, really miss our granddaughter.... Our son, his wife & our youngest daughter took her to The African Lion Safari for a special day... It looks like it worked....
