As the weather gets cooler and the rain continues to fall, staying motivated to keep working on the boat gets much more difficult... That said, progress is still being made... On the weekend, I managed to get the focile (workshop at the front of the boat) painted and it is now completely re-wired. As I progress now I will start to put tools and spare parts away in this room....
I have decided to wire the boat working from the bow to the stern (front to back). As I go along I will post pictures of my progress... At the same time I am trying to get some of the carpentry done for the new shower and our new bed. I have to admit, this is very difficult for me, as there are many angles and curves in a boat that add a degree of difficulty not found in square structures...
After 9 years of planning, and 4 years of preparation, we are finally on the adventure of a lifetime... On July 1st 2014 we left Ontario Canada setting out on an adventure that might just take us around the world.... This blog is a chronical of not only our trip but the work that went into getting us and our Dufour 12000ct Ketch rigged sailboat ready.... Enjoy... We are happy to share our adventures...
