~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The more time we spend here in the San Blas Islands of Panama, the more we come to appreciate the beauty of this place...  From peaceful sunrises to stunning sunsets, every day offers us something incredible to appreciate....
Yesterday we decorated the boat for Christmas, which felt a little odd in 98 degree heat, but we put on Christmas music and did what we could to feel cold...  (beer helped)
We decorated our 24" tree with battery operated LED light that we picked up in a dollar store before we left, and put a few of our favorite decorations on the tree and strung under our dodger.  I put two strings of 12 volt colored LED lights up the mast on the main halyard and ran white LED lights around the top of the lifelines. (Thank you Tessa & Martin!)
In all, it was a lot of fun and now we feel a little more like Christmas... We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our youngest daughter this Friday!
In the last few weeks we have been exploring many islands of the archipelago.  At Carti Supdup we delivered a bunch of school and medical supplies.  See our Right to Write Blog for details.
We were met by a man named John who gave us a walking tour of his island where Shelley ended up buying yet another Mola...
Shelley has been collecting Sea Beans since we arrived and the other day we taught ourselves how to polish them and I even tried to make a pendant out of one of them..
One of our frustrations here is the tragic amount of garbage we keep finding in this otherwise pristine environment.  We refuse to let the garbage win so everywhere we go we collect as much as we can and burn it....  Not a perfect solution, but better than the alternative...
SO MANY SHOES!
The other evening, we had some friends, Robin & Michael from s/v Mermaid over for supper.  Shelley prepared her AMAZING Lionfish...
We will post more of our adventure soon.  In the mean time, here is yet another stunning sunset which has become so much a part of our lives...  Cheers!
