Waterford is a quiet village at the crossroad (water) of the Hudson River and the Erie Canal. A sign in town says that Waterford is the longest continually "incorporated" town in New York State... We have had 2 days of great weather and really friendly people... We went grocery shopping today and got our laundry done. We also took a bike ride and found a Dollar Store that was going out of business... We bought 44 children's paint sets and 30 hand reel fishing lines for our "Right to Write" project. All 74 items were less than $50! Such a deal...
We went out for an anniversary dinner last night and had a delicious meal at a place called McGrievies and met a lovely server named Meghan who we saw again tonight when she was walking her son along the docks and we had a chance to get to know her a little better. What a friendly place!
We also met a bunch of great people all travelling in different directions along the Hudson and the Erie... Not many are like us, heading south at the moment... Do you think they know something we don't???
Anyway, we hope we see the especially large moon tonight... Here is a picture of last nights....
More Later...
