Sealions, Puffins & Bears.... Oh My......

We have had an extrardinary few weeks so far in Alaska!  While internet and cell service has been practically non-existant, the flora and fauna of this magical place has been... well.... magical!

We have seen Puffins, Sea Lions, Bears, Fin Whales, Orca Whales, Dolphins, Pilot Whales False Killer Whales, Bald Eagles and countless sea birds... Some, close enough to almost touch.  We had a ball taking hundreds of photos!

Local "Salmon Berries" where everywhere! (for FREE!)

The GREAT Salmon hunters!
We arrived in Kodiak, Alaska today and sadly said goodbye to our crew, Christina & Derrek who have travelled almost 5000 nautical miles with us from Japan....  THANK YOU BOTH SO MUCH for all your help!

Shelley and I will now make our way toward Vancouver Island, BC where we hope to spend some time get us and the boat fixed up so we can continue our adventure.... While in Dutch Harbor we got together with a bunch of other cruisers who are are crazy (or brave) as we are!

We collected all kinds of treasures along our way!

We have made 12 stops over a few weeks! WOW!

We will depart from Kodiak tomorrow as we see some good winds for the next few days...  The trip to Liska Island is about 500 NM and should take 4-5 days...  From there we will make our way slowly down the west coast....

More soon!
