We will sadly leave Yakutat, AK at first light tomorrow (Tuesday) morning. Our plan is to make our way toward Sitka, AK around 200 NM south. We hope to explore some of the inner passages of Alaska as we go along. This stay in Yakutat has forced us to take a little less time making our way to Vancouver Island for the winter.
That said, our time here in Yakutat has been amazing! First, THANK YOU to Les Holcum and his whole family for making us feel so welcome in the community. It was Les who welded the rudder shaft back together! Second, to Steve who took us under his wing from almost the minute we arrived.... THANK YOU!

And to everyone else in this community to in one way or another, made what was a difficult time for us, not only bearable, but one of the most memorable, happy times of our trip so far! We have enjoyed gifts of fish, moose meat, smoothies and quiche all given to us during our stay... Here are just a few pictures from our time here.
